Leica D-Lux 6 100 Edition celebrates a century of life of the famous German brand, which was responsible for the birth of this new pearl.

A century of life is an important milestone that deserves to be celebrated with great pomp. Leica has designed a special series, which seals the magic of its iconic cameras.


GadgetThe result of this effort is a celebratory range for connoisseurs, which pays homage to the long tradition of the German mark.

This is not only a range, but a range of lines that bind to recurrence. After introducing the model Edition Leica 100 at the beginning of 2014, it is now the turn of a second collection, called the Leica D-Lux 6 Edition 100.

Starting point is already known

As the name suggests, the new special series to mark the centenary is based on the award-winning Leica D-Lux 6, of which inherits the data sheet. As this is equipped with a high-performance lens and a CMOS sensor 1.7 “with 12.7 MP (effective 10.1 MP): not bad for the class of compact cameras where it is inserted.

The centennial edition looks strikingly similar to the Leica D-Lux 6 in his two-tone version. The black shiny body has a special anniversary logo engraved on the front, to commemorate the anniversary celebrated by this special series.

The model, in all its copies will be available with a stylish camera case made of genuine leather, black in color, with the same logo imprinted century life in focus. The facilities will be part of the shoulder and the wrist strap. It involves the production of only five pieces, for a limited edition of which is currently not yet know the price. The sale is expected to begin later this month.
